Structural Foot Problems

In structural foot problems we will discuss injuries, deformities, and pain as they pertain to bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Congenital or genetic deformities can be caused by bone misalignment, tendon abnormalities, neurological problems and/or muscular imbalance.  In many cases there are a combination of issues. Other conditions may start as traumatic injury and later progress to arthritis or tendon pain. The point is, no condition will present the same for everyone, people are different, foot conditions often present differently.  The information presented here is meant to be an educational guide only, no one should self diagnose and treat based solely on the information presented. Podiatrist and Doctors go through years of training and medical school, some conditions are more difficult to treat than others, mimic other diseases, and if left untreated can progress and be more difficult to treat in the end.
