Gel insoles are very durable and offer comfort for months in most cases.

Diabetic Footwear

Diabetic footwear does not come with insoles, they are sold separately.  There are currently 3 different insoles available for these shoes and boots.  Extra depth shoes or diabetic shoes are designed to accommodate different deformities and the insoles per medicare guidelines are mandated to have additional depth.   This depth is to accommodate a variety of insoles and deformities.

There are 3 inserts available for these shoes, 2 of which will be available for the general public for purchase.  The Gel and the heat moldable do not require any special molding and are ready to fit in your shoes.  The custom molded insoles require impressions of your feet, this needs to be done by a professional, preferably a podiatrist. If you have diabetic shoes with custom insoles by Dr. Comfort, the insoles will fit additional pairs of shoes the same size, if you have having difficult with your custom insoles, they are taking up too much room, try a pair of the gel or heat moldable insoles.  It is common for the custom insoles to take up more room, making the shoes seem tight.
